Mike Schroeder
I was raised in an amazing Christian home here in Mission Viejo not far from Mission Hills Church. Despite outstanding modeling by my parents, I didn’t commit my life to Christ until I was 17. At that time, I turned from a life of self-serving and trouble, to desiring to serve God and help others as a Firefighter. For the past 30 years I have served in ministry in several capacities as well as in the fire department. In the fire department I, attained a bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration and had the privilege to work in a variety of roles from Firefighter/Paramedic all the way to Assistant Fire Chief. In ministry, I’ve received my pastoral ordination, and board certification as a Pastoral Counselor and have also served in a variety of roles. Some of the areas of service include College Leader, Church Elder, Camp and Conference speaker, Local Outreach Pastor, Freedom in Christ Director, and Christian School Board Trustee. I live in Mission Viejo with my amazing wife, Dawnell, and we have two outstanding sons, Cole & Drew who are in college preparing for their careers. My greatest joys in serving are to see men and women commit their lives to Christ, grow in their Christian faith, and live passionately for his coming kingdom.
