Hiking Group

We will start 2023 off by exploring more of scenic Santiago Oaks Regional Park.

Date: Saturday, February 11, 2023
Time: Meet at 7:50 a.m., gather, pray, hike at 8 a.m.
Short hike: Hike with us to the flag pole, then return. 2 – 2.5 miles. Some hills.
Main hike: 5.4 miles, 1100 feet elevation. After the flagpole, we’ll continue up to Robbers Roost, where we will climb the rock and enjoy the views. This is the highest point in the park. Then we’ll hike down Yucca Trail to the bottom of the canyon, hike back up on Coach Whip Trail, go down Deer Trail, then head back to the cars. Nice balloon shaped loop.

Directions: From south OC, you can either take the 5N to 55N, exit Katella and go Right, make a Left on Cannon, first Right on Serrano, continue for about 3 miles, then Right on S Hidden Canyon. Take it until there’s a 90 degree turn to the right. Free street parking.
Or if you prefer to take the 241 Toll Road north, exit at Santiago Canyon Rd, go left, follow it around for about 3 miles. Make a Right on Cannon, first Right on Serrano, continue for about 3 miles, then Right on S Hidden Canyon. Take it until there’s a 90 degree turn to the right. Free street parking.

No restrooms.

We’ll meet at the trailhead.
