Time: 7:20 a.m. to gather and pray. Hike at 7:30 a.m.

Description: For our October hike we will explore various trails at Peters Canyon Regional Park.

Meet: By the kiosk in the parking lot. Bring $5 for parking - either cash, credit/debit or annual regional park pass.

Easy/short hike: We will start by hiking around the lake. About 2 miles. All dirt trails. Mostly flat with a couple of smaller hills. You can return to the parking lot after this loop if you choose to.

Longer hike: We will continue through the park southwards. Three options:

Easy - meander down the main trail;

Intermediate - take the ridge trail. Some hills, beautiful views;

Advanced: Same as intermediate except start off with the big hill, then join the intermediate hikers for the ridge trail.

We'll all meet up at the south entrance to the park and hike back taking a pretty offshoot on the creek trail. Total distance about 6 miles.

Tollroad - from the 241 north, exit on Santiago Canyon Rd towards Orange. It becomes Chapman. Go left on Jamboree. Right on Canyon View Avenue. Make your first left into the parking lot.
Canyon - take El Toro towards the mountains. Veer left at Cook's Corner. El Toro becomes Santiago Canyon Rd. Continue to Orange. Make a left on Jamboree, right on Canyon View Avenue, first left into parking lot.
5 fwy - take the 5 fwy north. Exit Jamboree. Go for several miles. Make a left onto Canyon View Avenue, and first left into the parking lot.

Breakfast afterwards (optional): John's Place (claims to have best breakfast burritos in OC), 8400 E Chapman Ave, Orange.

RSVP's appreciated but not required.
