Dear Mission Hills Church Family,
Your health and safety, and that of our community, is a top priority to me and the leadership of our church. To that end, we are following California Department of Public Health guidelines for all in-person services and gatherings. This is a significant and unprecedented step to take, but we believe a necessary one as we strive to care for and protect our community. According to the California Department of Public Health, “The timely implementation of aggressive strategies that create social distance and those that reduce close contact of people not regularly together, including limiting gatherings, has proven effective in prior pandemics at delaying rates of transmission and reducing illness and death.”
We have virtual services and connection opportunites, as well as in-person gatherings for all ages. Check out our event calendar for church information.
What God’s people should be doing at this time:
- Pray. Our hope is in the Lord. Seek His face as you intercede for our community, nation, and the world. Believe that people will be drawn to Christ through this time of uncertainty and concern.
- Care. Be attentive to the needs and fears of others.
- Practice good hygiene as outlined by the CDC.
Finally, I want you to know this decision is based on care and precaution, not fear or panic. Let’s remember the words of David, who writes in Psalm 29:10-11, The Lord sat as King at the flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
What a wonderful God we serve!
