MHC Hiking February 29, 2020
On our leap-day hike we'll explore Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park. This is a scenic little park with nice trails and beautiful views.
Time: Meet at 7:20 a.m. Gather, pray, hike at 7:30 a.m.
Easy hike: Loop around the park, about 2.5 - 3 miles, all dirt, some fire roads, some single track.
Main hike: Loop around the park, also taking the Horned Toad Trail to one lookout point, and then hike up Vista Ridge Trail for more views. Total distance about 5.5 miles.
Advanced: Do additional loop(s).
Directions: Take Oso Parkway towards the mountains. Go all the way to just before the stop sign at the end (where Oso ends/T's into Coto De Caza drive). The park entrance is on the right 200 feet or so before the stop sign. The park address is 30952 Oso Pkwy, Coto De Caza, CA 92679. Once you enter the park, follow the road to the parking lot. http://www.ocparks.com/parks/thomas
Cost to park: $3 cash or credit card. Or free if you have an OC Park Pass.
Meet up: In the parking lot by the parking machine.
Bathrooms: available in the parking lot.
