MHC Hiking Group
This is a hiking group for adults and interested teens. We meet the first Saturday morning of every month and hike locally. There is always a beginner/easy hike and there is often an intermediate/advanced option for those wanting longer or more difficult hikes. We get together and fellowship while getting some light/moderate exercise and enjoying God's beautiful creation. Join us any time!
Saturday, August 4
Time: We will meet at the trailhead at 7:20am to pray and start our hike at 7:30am.
Borrego Trail to Red Rock Trail.
This is an easy 4.7 mile hike and will take uo through beautiful nature and spectacular rocks.
Intermediate/advanced option: Continue up Mustard trail and do the Whiting loop, or take other trails in the park (there are many options). Maps on site; trails are well marked.
Parking: There is limited $3 parking at the trail head. If it's full, there's free residential parking available off Alton a block away.
Directions: The trailhead is located to the left of the Ralphs shopping center on Portola Pkwy between Alton and Bake (across Portola from the large shopping center with Target, Walmart, Joann's, etc). From Portola, turn at the light onto Market into the Ralphs parking lot, then make an immediate left.
Porta potty at trail head.
No dogs allowed in park.
